We pride ourselves on being a close, supportive team who are all still enthusiastic about our jobs and the care of our patients. We have a strong focus on work/life balance, and support one another to try to ensure everyone gets home on time. As a team we try to make time in our busy day to have lunch together as we realise the importance of time away from the computer screen and maintaining team morale.
Our practice is located in central Falkirk with good transport links and plenty of options for take away lunches! We have a patient list size of 5,600 patients. We have a predominantly deprived patient demographic which has its challenges but we definitely never have a dull day!
Our team includes 2 GP partners, 2 salaried GPs, 1 ANP, 1 practice nurse, a good complement of PCIP staff including ANP, MHN, Pharmacy and technician cover and Advanced Physiotherapist, as well as our friendly administrative team, all of whom are trained in signposting and workflow optimisation. We are fortunate to have community nurses still in our building which allows for better communication and care of our housebound and palliative patients.
We hold weekly clinical team meetings where we discuss difficult cases, unusual results, brainstorm, and sometimes have a much needed rant! We also hold regular MDT meetings with other members of the multidisciplinary team, such as palliative care meetings with the DNs and Macmillan nurse. We would welcome any locum to attend these meetings and would fully encourage and support integration into the team during their time here.
